About Us

We are a small family run business, inspired by the beauty of life and of the world in which we live. Most of all inspired by our own recent experiences of a natural pregnancy and birth, and a beautiful baby daughter.

We have carefully selected a wide range of the finest natural, fairly traded, organic, environmentally friendly and other products to assist you in pregnancy, labour and post-natally and in for caring for your baby or toddler. In fact, you don't need to be pregnant or have a baby to appreciate our range of gentle tolietries, eco washing products or natural dental care!

Simply offering great eco friendly products isn't enough for us though...

Beyond the obvious scope of offering such products, we believe we excel environmentally in all other areas of our business. To give but a small example of the things we believe are essential to conducting our business with as little impact on the environment as possible:

Woodland Trust LogoAll orders weight less than 1.5kg will be shipped using Royal Mail. We believe in the value of supporting local services and in particular we understand the benefit to everybody of a sustainable Post Office network. In addition to this, for each and every order placed, we will help to offset the carbon emitted in delivery by making a donation of 10p to the Woodland Trust. Since 1972 the Woodland Trust have planted in excess of 4.5 million trees in an attempt to offset some of the carbon that has been generated by the moden world.

Wrap LogoEnvirobox LogoWe have gone to great lengths to source packaging materials which are either recycled or biodegradable. All the boxes you receive from us have been produced by K-Lite packaging and sourced from The Packaging Store. In association with WRAP, they have developed the EnviroBox which is both recycled and recyclable, lighter, stronger and overall uses 30% less CO2 in its production and trasportation than a regular box. We also use Gummed Tape, biodegradable bubble wrap and biodegradable loose fill.

The most fundamental part of our business is our website. It has been projected that by 2020, Data Centres, such as those hosting websites, will surpass the airline industry for carbon emmissions. To mitigate this, our website is powered by servers that run on electricity generated by wind. In fact, it is even better than that. Our hosts are actually a net contributor of wind generated electricity to the grid to a tune of 3:1, buying 3 times as many wind energy credits than they actually use. And whilst this hosting may well be based in the US, environmental policy is something that needs to be approached globally. Everything we can do is a step in the right direction!
